🇮🇹 A partire dal settembre 2023, la città di New York si è trovata ad affrontare un afflusso record di immigrati, che hanno portato il suo sistema di accoglienza ben oltre le capacità. Mentre i loro permessi di lavoro venivano esaminati, molti migranti decidevano di prendere in mano il proprio destino, creando un vivace ecosistema di mercato fuori dal rifugio. Dopo la chiusura del mercato, il fotografo ha seguito alcuni di questi migranti mentre cercavano di farsi largo in un sistema di immigrazione sovraccaricato.
🇬🇧 Starting from September 2023, the city of New York City was facing a record influx of immigrants, pushing its shelter system far beyond capacity. While their work permits were being processed, many migrants were taking their fate into their own hands, creating a bustling market ecosystem outside the shelter. After the market was shut down, the photographer accompanied some migrants as they tried to make a home in an overburdened immigration system.
