🇬🇧 This story captures the daily life in the largest institution for people with mental and physical illness in Moldova, one of Europe poorest countries. Three hundreds patients live there and most of them have spent their entire lives in institutions, diagnosed with schizophrenia and mental retardation. The UN Human Rights department urges Moldova to close the remaining 8 institutions. Exploitation, violence and isolation of patients creates unjust living conditions, says the UN.
