🇮🇹 I travellers inglesi e irlandesi sono una minoranza il cui stile di vita nomade fa parte della loro tradizione da secoli, ma è ora più che mai a rischio. Costretti dal governo a diventare stanziali, queste comunità vengono private delle proprie origini: i ragazzi vengono spesso ritirati dalla scuola in tenera età, causando un vuoto in termini di opportunità future nel mercato del lavoro ma è per loro normale seguire le orme dei genitori. Molti travellers sono allevatori di cani come i Lurcher e hanno un interesse di lunga data per il commercio di cavalli. Questo progetto cerca di far luce sull’importanza sociale di queste comunità, da sempre discriminate, e di suscitare comprensione ed empatia in coloro che vedono queste immagini.
🇬🇧 The English and Irish Travellers are minority whose nomadic lifestyle has been part of their tradition for centuries and is now more endangered than ever. Being forced to settle down by the government, the Traveller Community is being deprived of their origins. The kids are often pulled out of school at a young age, which creates a vacuum when it comes to chances in the labor market. It is common to follow in the footsteps of their parents. Many Travellers are breeders of dogs such as lurchers and have a long-standing interest in horse trading. This project seeks to shed light on the social importance of these communities, which have always been discriminated againsts, and to foster understanding and empathy among viewers.
