🇮🇹 Questo progetto esplora rituali e tradizioni nella provincia di Massa-Carrara, in Toscana. In questi luoghi il tempo sembra scorrere più lentamente, la vita gira intorno alle condizioni metereologiche e la storia del marmo è onnipresente. Questa documentazione tocca le peculiarità del cattolicesimo e l’interazione di una comunità con la natura, in un contesto prevalentemente maschile. Si tratta di una testimonianza dello spirito duraturo dell’umanità, in un luogo dove le domande superano le risposte e i misteri del passato riaffiorano in ogni istante.

🇬🇧 This project explores rituals and traditions in the province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany. There, time seems to move slower, people are shaped by weathering and the history of marble is omnipresent. This documentation touches on peculiarities of Catholicism and the interaction of a community with nature in a predominantly male environment. It is a testament to the enduring spirit of humanity, in a place where questions outnumber answers, and the mysteries of the past linger in every moment.
