🇮🇹 St. Mary’s Park, meglio conosciuta come Isola Field, è considerata una delle zone più impoverite della città di Limerick, in Irlanda. Destinata ad uso residenziale, quest’area risulta distante dal resto della città sia dal punto di vista geografico che sociale. Ora è diventata dimora di una comunità autonoma che diffida degli estranei. Nel suo progetto a lungo termine, la fotografa ha concentrato la sua attenzione sull’infanzia e come si cresce a St. Mary’s Park, riuscendo a catturarne l’intima essenza.

🇬🇧 St. Mary’s Park, also known as Island Field, is deemed among the most deprived areas in Limerick, Ireland. Planned as developed housing, the area is geographically and socially cut off from the rest of the city. It has become home to a self-preserved community reacting from suspiciously to defensively towards outsiders. In her long term project the photographer has kept focusing on childhood and growing up, capturing intimate insights of childhood in St. Mary’s Park.
